11 major highway border ports in China

The port of the People's Republic of China, according to the definition of "Several Provisions of the State Council on the Opening of Ports", refers to the ports, airports, stations, passages, etc. for personnel, goods and vehicles to enter and exit the country.

1: Horgos land (road) port

Horgos Land Transport (Highway) Port is located in Huocheng County, Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, adjacent to Almaty Oblast, Republic of Kazakhstan. It is located at 80°29ˊ east longitude and 44°14ˊ north latitude, belonging to the middle latitude. Horgos Port is currently the largest road traffic port in western China. The port has a long history. As early as the Sui and Tang Dynasties, it was an important post on the ancient "Silk Road" New North Road.

2: Alashankou Land Transport (Railway, Highway) Port

Alashankou Port is located in Bole City, Bortala Mongolian Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, at 83°36′ east longitude and 45°12′ north latitude, 73 kilometers away from Bole City and 460 kilometers away from Urumqi. The opposite is Almaty, Kazakhstan, the port name is Druzhba, 12.3 kilometers away from the Chinese port, and 580 kilometers away from the former capital of Kazakhstan, Almaty. Alashankou is the gateway of the second Asia-Europe Continental Bridge into and out of China.

3: Bhaktu Land (Road) Port

Baketu Port is located in the Tacheng area of Ili Kazakh Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, at 82°48' east longitude, 46°41' north latitude, and 460-480 meters above sea level. Opposite the Baktu port is the East Kazakhstan region of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Entry from Baktu Port is 17 kilometers to Tacheng City, 621 kilometers to Urumqi City; 800 meters to Hafang Bhakt Port, 60 kilometers to Macanchi City, 110 kilometers to Urgar Airport, and Ayakus Baktu The port station is 250 kilometers away.

4: Jimunai land (road) port

Jimunai Port is located in Jimunai County, Altay Region, at 85°43′ east longitude and 47°33′ north latitude, 24 kilometers away from Jimunai County, 198 kilometers away from Altay City, and 650 kilometers away from Urumqi. Jimunai Port has historically been an important trade route from Xinjiang to Central Asia. Jimunai Port is a new port, and has built a joint inspection hall of 1,053 square meters, a comprehensive office building of 2,375 square meters, and a garage of 1,226 square meters.

5: Ulastai Land (Road) Port

Wulastai Port is located in the Beitashan area of Qitai County, Changji Hui Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, at 90°44′ east longitude and 45°22′ north latitude. It is 248 kilometers away from Qitai County, 450 kilometers away from Urumqi City, 450 kilometers away from Changji City, and 6.5 kilometers away from Beitag Port in Mongolia. The opening time of the port is from 1-15th of March, June, August and November each year. Wulastai Port is the only land port in Wuchang area that is open to Mongolia all year round.

6: Laoyemiao Land (Road) Port

Laoyemiao Port is located in Santang Lake, Balikun Kazakh Autonomous County, Hami City, Xinjiang, China, adjacent to Gobi Altai Province, Mongolia, and opposite to Mumburggastai Port. Laoyemiao Port was officially opened in March 1992. The port is open from 11 to 30 in February, April, June, August, October and December every year. Due to the inability to explore drinking water sources in the border area, the inspection areas and living areas of the ports between China and Mongolia are set far from the border, with a distance of 150 kilometers. The length of the passage is the longest between China and Mongolia ports.

7: Takshken Land (Road) Port

Takshiken Port is a trade channel between China and Mongolia in history. In July 1989, it was opened to the outside world with the approval of the State Council. The annual cargo handling capacity is 50,000 tons and the number of passengers is 30,000. The port is a seasonal port, and the opening time is from April to December 20th to 30th every year. The international passenger intermodal shuttle bus in Tuburgan, Qinghe County has been opened.

8: Hongshanzui land (road) port

Hongshanzui Port: Located in Fuhai County, Altay, Xinjiang, China, it is a highway port, adjacent to Bayan Uliegai Province, Mongolia, and located in the middle of the Altai Mountains. It is a trade channel between China and Mongolia in history. It is the northern starting point of the (new) 216 National Road. The hot spring ditch on the roadside of Hongshanzui Port has a better view. Hongshanzui Port is the window for Fuhai County to open to the outside world, an important trade channel, and an important channel for traveling abroad.

9: Irkeshtan land (road) port

Irkeshtan Port, formerly known as "Simhana Port", is located in Simhana Village, Jigen Township, Wuqia County, Xinjiang, the first village in the western border of my country. It is located at 73°58' east longitude and 39°42' north latitude. It is a port in the westernmost part of our country. Irkeshtan Port was an important passage and post on the ancient Silk Road. Open ports all year round.

10: Turgat Land Transport (Road) Port

The Turgat Port borders Kyrgyzstan's Naryn Prefecture, is located in Tuoyun Township, Wuqia County, Kyzylsu Kirgiz Autonomous Prefecture, and is a port for trade between China and Kyrgyzstan. It is also an important gateway to Central Asia, South Asia, West Asia and European countries. Located at 75°23′ east longitude, 40°30′ north latitude, and 3795 meters above sea level, it was an important post on the Silk Road in the Han Dynasty, but it began in 1881 as a trade port for two sovereign countries.

11: Turgat Land Transport (Road) Port

Khunjerab Land (Highway) Port (English: Khunjerab Pass, Uyghur: قونجىراپ ئېغىزى‎), also known as Hongqi Labu Port[Note 1], is located in the southwest of Kashgar, Xinjiang, China, within the territory of Tashkurgan Tajik Autonomous County on the Pamir Plateau. Adjacent to the Gilgit-Baltistan region of Pakistan, it is also known as the "mountain pass" of the Red Flag Lav. The port is about 5,000 meters above sea level.
